Reporting Scams and Fraud

If you believe you have been targeted by a scam, take these steps:

1. Stop communication with the sender or caller right away.
2. Do not send money or share personal information.
3. Report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre:
   • Online report: Submit a report
   • Phone: 1-888-495-8501
4. Contact your bank or credit card provider if money or account details were shared.
5. Call local police if there is immediate danger or ongoing threats.
